The player character of Dead Island: Riptideis picked from one of five survivors on the island of Palanai, four of which were previous survivors on Banoi.Each character has a distinct preference in weapons and fighting styles based on their personal history. They travel together as a group throughout the island trying to find a way to escape once again.
